Palatka Bluegrass Festival Rodeheaver Boy's Ranch 08 Here is a new slide show of these pictures
Last year Joff, then prez, told the board about a bluegrass festival coming in Palatka, it sounded like a great venue for a rally so it was set into the schedule. It was to be a "no host" rally which means there would be no formal plan for meals, no club rally fee and that the festival would be the focus of the rally. Little did we know that there would be no need to plan anything, the planning was already done for us, food would be awesome and entertainment, well the entertainment would be non stop for 3 days! The accommodations were awesome-- other than the fire ants which were everywhere-- and the weather cooperated pretty well to make this a really memorable event for the club. We had 15 coaches come, a great showing taking into account the a bit higher registration fees and the remoteness of the location close to the middle of nowhere just north of the Ocala National forest. Here are some pics of the fun we had, thanks to all who attended and for those that could not we understand and hope to see you next month in Pensacola. In an effort to make each rally something to remember, Joff has really come up with a fantastic event here, this may end up being an annual event for the club! If it comes up in the rally schedule next your, be sure to try and make that rally-- you will not be disappointed. NOTE: click on the pics, they will enlarge
