The March rally was a bit different
We set up at the NHRA Florida Nationals
at the Orlando Drag Strip

The weather was "touch-n-go" with heavy winds, cold and 5" of
rain on Saturday night but our classic motorhomes saw us through and the rally
was great fun for all who attended. Below are random pics of the rally,
we'll tell you more after the shots.

Ed thought he had a "pusher" but his biscuits and gravy were great!
A success in that we all lived to tell the tale, an issue in
that the race was rained and winded out for 2 days with real racing only coming
about on Sunday. The winds prevented us from setting up the club tent, we
didn't want to meet Dorothy in the Emerald City! Ed Jones was the
rallymaster and his awning was the gathering place-- why, because he had the
food! Had several northern visitors attend. They were in Florida for
the warm weather, sorry bout that but the spirits were high and everyone had
fun. We got to exercise our furnaces and our generators. This was a
"dry camp" rally which means we each relied upon our coaches for all of our
needs. No one got hauled off the the hospital, the food was awesome, the
coffee was cold with our all new coffee makers.
We here at the Sunshine Statesmen club embrace new ideas and
different schools of thought, this rally was one of those new things we are
doing to bring interesting events to our members. Be a part of this club
and we hope to never show you a dull moment.
