"The Party is over"
At least for this season and boy did we have
a great one!
The last rally of the season was held
in Jacksonville at Hanna Park, actually it was at Atlantic Beach but who's
taking notes! Atlantic Beach is located at the northern most point at
Mayport, just before the Ferry. It is a bit on the secluded side in that
you really need to know where it is to get there. With Dan & Cat Meyer
living actually in Atlantic Beach we are blessed that they have hosted this
rally at this spot for the last 3 seasons. Thanks guys for giving the
club such a fantastic experience.
We say the main goal of this rally was to bring the next
regime of the club in and of course this is most important, Ed Jones and company
will be bringing the club to even more fun rallies next season but really, the
main draw of this rally site is the beach. A beautiful, wide, sandy beach,
protected from construction, the city of Jacksonville has made available such a
fantastic venue you just have to be there to appreciate it. If you were
there you know, if you could not make it please try and make the rally next
season, I'm sure it they will be well worth the investment.
For the early birds we had Ham and Beans on Thursday
evening at Cat & Dan's House.

As always you had better come with an apatite
to a SS rally

Like I was saying, the beach was the draw
at this rally and for those of you not from Florida, this is the real Florida
and the reason many of us live here!
This way my trusted steed!
There must be some serious words passing about the GMC in this conversation!
Au, why don't you just go "fly a kite" instead!
Now this is what I call kicking back

All good things must come to an end but do not forget "These are the times
to remember cause they will not last forever-- these are the things to hold
onto...,"
Of course the club is all about the GMC & they too enjoyed
the place

Hey, Ya gotta Eat!

And then there was the general meeting and bringing in the
new club heads, "barefoot Bob" was recognized for his contribution

Passing the seat of power to Ed Jones was bitter sweet for
me, even my camera fogged up!

More pics to come-- thanks to all who made this rally such a
success

Some came back to the house after the rally
