RALLY SEPTEMBER 2002 - FORT WILDERNESS - DISNEY

FIRST RALLY OF THE SEASON -- DISNEY'S  FORT  WILDERNESS
Some were so anxious for the first rally that they started arriving on Monday - or were those just the loyal Disney fans. It was great to see some new faces in the 31 coaches that attended. The tent was taken out of achieves and set up on Thursday-just before the evening rains started. We had a pre-rally pot-luck that night, with Jon Lettington cooking up a great pork roast for the group. We all gathered under the tent again on Friday night for a catered dinner from Sonny's BBQ . Some of the group went out that night - the "older" members visited Downtown Disney,  while a few "younger" ones hit Pleasure Island and stayed out way past our bed time! After the continental breakfast on Sat. everyone headed in different directions - some to the parks, some to the pools, and some just visited the hotels.  Sat. night 22 members enjoyed the Hoop-Dee-Doo dinner show. I was chosen from the audience for their little skit - I think the picture tells it all. In spite of hot, humid weather and evening rains, I think most of us enjoyed the Ft. Wilderness campground and amenities.     Skip 9-17
